Riverlands, just on the outskirts of Blenhiem toward Christchurch on SH1, has a wonderful rural feel while being only moments from town. With the taylor river meandering past, properties on the Eastern side of SH1 enjoy an enviable view over the water toward established grapeland, while enjoying the benefits of the river. Those properties that border onto the river have the added enjoyment of watching the Riverqueen (a lovingly restored paddle boat that plyed its trade in earlier years along the Taylor River) cruises by each day with a variety of tourists and private parties on board.
