Springcreek and Grovetown Area Profile

Located approximately 10 minutes from Blenhiem on the road leading to Picton, Springcreek is a township that caters well for families who like semi rural living with the convenience of being close to town.  It is well served by Springcreek primary school, service station, local 4Square supermarket, and a local hotel for refreshments.  Rugby and tennis are catered for with the local rugby and tennis club being close by.

During summer, Springcreek is a popular spot for holiday makers, as it has a wonderful camping ground, and is close to the main roads leading to Nelson, Picton, the Marlborough Sounds.  For those who like rugby or tennis, there is a local rugby and tennis club close by.  For those that like a spot of fishing, there are some wonderful spots on the Wairau River for your enjoyment - just make sure that you have your fishing licence and permission before fishing!.  Don't forget about the Wairau Diversion for those who like trying their hand at surfcasting!

Grovetown is about 2 minutes before Springcreek when heading from Blenheim to Picton and is slightly smaller than Springcreek.  Once again it has a very close knit semi rural feel to the community and is well served by the local primary school.
